He came back and collected a loan of N500, 000 from his uncle, Alhaji Sanusi Dantata, to go into commodity trading. The loan which he was supposed to pay back in three years was repaid in three months and there began his entrepreneurial sojourn.

 

Dangote Group has continued since then to increase and expand into every other aspect of business including banking, telecommunication, agriculture, textiles, transportation, oil and general manufacturing. He has remained Nigeria's most loved and revered entrepreneur of all time because of his fore- sight in providing un-equaled employment opportunities for Nigerians by sitting most of his establishments in Nigeria.
